About LärNav Dalarna and Falu Learning Center

Falu Learning Center is a central meeting place for adult learners in SFI, basic and upper secondary adult education, vocational adult education, and general upper secondary subjects. Here, newcomers, career changers, unemployed individuals, people with disabilities, and many more come together.

The LärNav Dalarna project aims to create a regional ecosystem of sustainable learning environments, where education, working life, and community support collaborate to increase completion rates, reduce dropouts, and strengthen adults' pathways to self-sufficiency.

Job Responsibilities

About the Role of Special Education Teacher

As a special education teacher within LärNav Dalarna, you will be a key person in developing learning environments that make a real difference. You will work closely with the project's coordinator, principal, fellow special education teachers, study coaches, career counselors, IT unit, educational providers, and employers.

You will:

• Develop physical and digital learning environments together with the project's coordinator.
• Actively build and implement AI-based study coaching, special educational support, and remote guidance.
• Ensure that adult learners with diverse needs receive the right support to achieve educational goals and self-sufficiency.
• Start and run language cafés, mentoring programs, and support groups.
• In collaboration with the IT unit and coordinator, develop a local learning platform with data-driven monitoring of interventions.
• Be part of a competence hub that matches education with the labor market.
• Actively participate in the establishment of Livsnavet – a forum where social services, libraries, healthcare, and education collaborate around students.

You will play a central role in ensuring that interventions are accessible, sustainable, and integrated into regular operations.

Qualifications

Who Are We Looking For?

You are a confident and development-oriented special education teacher who wants to work closely with students while contributing strategically to a larger regional development effort.

You have:

• A degree in special education or equivalent relevant education.
• Experience in special education work, preferably with adults or heterogeneous learning groups.
• A strong ability to create accessible learning environments for students with neuropsychiatric disabilities, cognitive difficulties, language barriers, or complex life situations.
• Experience collaborating with employers, social services, educational providers, or authorities.
• Good digital competence and interest in developing AI support and digital pedagogy.
• The ability to express yourself clearly in speech and writing.

• Structured, analytical, and solution-focused.
• Innovative and curious about digital tools, data-driven monitoring, and new working methods.
• Collaborative and confident in leading pedagogical processes.

Employment Conditions

• Project employment for 2026 (full-time).
• Location: Falu Learning Center, Falun.
• Funded by government grants related to the LärNav Dalarna development project.
• Start date according to agreement.
